Linda
L. Davis, MSW directs Mandala Wellness Retreat in North Georgia.
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1980, Linda provides Psychotherapy
and Counseling for individuals and couples and is also a Certified
Yoga Instructor, Wellness Educator, and Certified Hypnotherapist.
Linda holds degrees in Psychology and Clinical Social Work. She
is considered an expert in mind/body health and wellness,
particularly in the areas of anxiety, phobias and stress relief. She
has advanced clinical training in Narrative Therapy, Art and
Creative Therapies, body-focused psychotherapy, NLP, Hypnosis and
Guided Imagery. She has also been an avid student and practitioner
of Hatha Yoga, T'ai Chi, Buddhist psychology and Mindfulness (Vipassana)
Meditation for many years and blends the wisdom and skills gained
from these ancient traditions into her healing work.
Linda's holistic approach offers compassionate guidance to help
you live your life more fully. Sometimes our natural tendency toward
health and wholeness can become blocked, causing us discomfort in
our everyday lives and relationships. If you’re considering
counseling, you’re probably aware of this discomfort, feeling sad or
angry, anxious or inadequate. You may be experiencing
frustration or confusion or what feels like a loss of heart or loss
of soul, or, you may find yourself repeating hurtful patterns or
being unable to heal old wounds and could use support to help you
find solutions. Linda’s goal is to help you learn to move beyond
fear and habit to explore areas of feeling and awareness that have
been neglected or inhibited so that you may heal and grow. As you
deepen your awareness and understanding of yourself, you awaken to a
renewed sense of inner freedom, compassion and wisdom.

Holistic Health & Wellness Services

Counseling sessions
are offered
for individuals and couples. Sessions are suited for people experiencing
anxiety, panic attacks, worry or depression or those who need support
and guidance to resolve old hurts or navigate life's many transitions.
Couples therapy teaches a compassionate approach to resolving relationship
impasses. Some insurance (including Medicare) is accepted. Sessions
generally run from one to two hours at a cost of $85.00 per hour.
Personal Retreats
This is an in-depth experience designed to deepen your healing process
and enhance your life. We'll decide together which tools we may
use for your retreat, including mindfulness meditation, movement,
yoga, T'ai chi, psychotherapy, relaxation, life balancing or ayurvedic
nutrition counseling, journaling, drawing or spending time in nature.
We'll take a break for a healthy lunch and perhaps go on a walk
in the mountain air. Out-of-town clients usually choose to stay
at one of several nearby B & B's (see links on the home page).
Cost: $400 for one day (6-7 hours); $550 for 1 1/2 days, (6-7 hours
on the first day and 3 hours on the second day), $750 for 2 full
days. Follow-up phone consultations are available at a reduced rate
of $30 for 30 minutes or $50 for an hour. Spa
add-on for Personal Retreats: For an additional $65, you
may add an hour of massage therapy with one of Mandala's gifted
therapists to your experience. Or you may choose to extend your
stay in the area and avail yourself of other wellness and spa services.

Holistic Health Package
A 3-hour package priced at $225 and designed to support mind, body,
heart and spirit. It includes a Nutrition and Life Balancing Consultation,
A Guided Relaxation & Stress Reduction Session, refreshments,
a one-hour Massage in our Day Spa and your choice of a either a
Hypnotherapy Session, a Private Yoga Class and/or Meditation Instruction.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis provides a valuable tool to assist you in making significant
changes in your life. In a pleasant state of relaxation, positive
suggestions can help you lose weight, stop smoking, overcome fears,
sleep better, release negative behaviors, develop higher self-esteem
and much more. ($85/hr)
Stress Relief & Relaxation Session
Learn to enhance your coping skills for handling the fast pace of
life. The session will address your personal concerns and teach
you helpful skills for dealing with them including progressive relaxation,
self-hypnosis, and imagery designed to help you let go of stress
and concerns on many levels. ($75/hr)
Ayurvedic Nutrition & Life Balancing
Consultation
Ayurveda is the ancient healing science of India. After assessing
your body type (or dosha) we'll discuss which foods and life choices
will bring you into better balance.( 875/hour)
